Coverage

Communities we deliver to

We run dumpsters out of our 3040 Industry Dr yard across every corner of Lancaster and out into Lancaster County. If your community is not on this list, call us anyway. We probably still get there.

Before you call

Have these four things ready

  1. 1

    The delivery address

Street address, and if access is tight — a narrow driveway, an alley, a shared lot — mention it. Older blocks on Cabbage Hill and around Musser Park can be tighter than the newer developments further out; we plan around it either way.

  2. 2

    What is going in it

Household contents, roofing, mixed construction debris, furniture, yard waste — and flag anything prohibited, like paint, solvents, oils, tires, batteries, hazardous chemicals, gas cylinders, propane tanks, medical waste or covered electronics, so we can route it correctly instead of loading it in with everything else.

  3. 3

    Where it should sit

Driveway, curb lane or jobsite. Placement entirely on your own property needs no permit; a street placement in Lancaster needs a temporary City of Lancaster right-of-way permit — tell us when you book and we'll walk you through it. If any digging is planned near the spot, call PA One Call at 811 first, at least 3 business days before digging.

  4. 4

    When you need it

Same day, tomorrow morning, or a set date — and roughly how long you want to keep it. The standard rental runs seven days; extensions are easy, but planning ahead is best.

Permits

Property vs. public right-of-way

On your own property

A container sitting entirely on your driveway, yard or lot — private property — needs no permit at all, anywhere we deliver in Lancaster County. That covers the large majority of jobs we run, from a Lancaster rowhouse driveway to a rural lot out past Manheim.

On the street or curb

Placement in the public street or on a sidewalk in Lancaster requires a temporary right-of-way permit from the City of Lancaster Bureau of Engineering / Department of Public Works — a flat fee, valid 90 days and non-renewable. Townships like Manheim, Ephrata and Mount Joy run their own separate local process for street placements within their own limits. Tell us your street situation when you call and we'll tell you plainly whether your job needs one before the truck ever leaves.

Answers

Contact questions

What information do you need when I call?

Four things, and the call takes about two minutes: the delivery address, roughly what you're throwing away, where you want the container to sit, and when you need it. If you're unsure about the size, describe the pile and we will size it. A photo of the driveway or curb helps if the placement is tight.

Do you serve my community?

We cover Lancaster and all of Lancaster County — Cabbage Hill, Chestnut Hill, Musser Park, Downtown, College Park, the Stadium District and the West End inside the city itself, plus Lititz, Manheim, Ephrata, Mount Joy, Willow Street, East Petersburg and Millersville, 14 communities in all beyond Lancaster proper. Just outside that? Call anyway — we can usually make it work.

What are your hours?

Mon–Sat 7:00am – 7:00pm. Deliveries and collections run through the working day. Ring outside hours and you can leave your address on a message — we'll call back first thing.

Can I text or email instead of calling?

You can email info@lcrdumpsterrental.com and we'll reply, but the phone is far quicker for anything time-sensitive. Sizing a container is a conversation — two questions on a call usually settles what three emails will not. For same-day delivery, always ring.

Is there a charge for a quote?

No. Quotes are free and given over the phone, not an estimate that moves later. We'll also tell you when a smaller container does the job, which is the opposite of what a pushy sales pitch does.

Do I need a permit for my address?

Depends where the container sits. Anywhere entirely on your own driveway, yard or lot needs no permit at all. A public street or sidewalk placement in Lancaster requires a temporary permit from the City of Lancaster Bureau of Engineering / Department of Public Works — mention it when you call and we'll walk you through exactly what your job needs.
